Requirements

  • A track record of excellent academic achievements, including publications, patents, presentations, and academic awards.
  • Have proficient experience in the processing of brain imaging data such as EEG, fNIRS, fMRI, DTI, MEG, etc. (one or more of these).
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Annual Salary: 336,000 - 480,000 MOP (~$41,480 - $59,250 USD)

Commensurate with qualifications. Local income tax rate is approx. 5% - 7%. Includes annual conference allowances to support networking.

Ph.D. Students

Fall 2025 Intake

We are now accepting applications for Ph.D. programs for Fall 2025. Undergraduate and graduate students in BME, ECE, Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, and related backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Program Details

Program & Funding

  • Duration: Generally 4-5 years.
  • Scholarship: Monthly stipend of 12,500 or 20,000 MOP provided based on individual abilities.

Minimum English Requirements

  • CET-6: Score of 430
  • IELTS: Score of 6.0 (no sub-score lower than 5.5)
  • TOEFL: 550 (paper-based) or 80 (internet-based)

Research Assistants / Interns

Part-time / Internship

We are recruiting part-time research assistants and intern students. These positions are ideal for UM undergraduate and graduate students who want to gain research experience or pursue a research career and plan to apply for Ph.D. and/or M.D. programs.

Responsibilities & Benefits

  • Assist in study design, data acquisition, data analysis, and manuscript drafting.
  • Mentoring: One-on-one weekly meetings and career development support.
  • Opportunities: Lead independent projects, publish first-authored papers, and attend workshops/conferences.

Requirements

  • Commitment: Minimum of 10 hours per week (on-site) for at least one quarter.
  • For non-UM students, work forms will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
